-right? now music is al pop-ish with no feeling, its all vh1 and mtv's fault

- its not Mtv's fault its hip-hops fault, but a lot of people think that we'r coming out of these last 2 decades of being obssessed with hip-hop and its time for a music revolution, starting in britain..

-sex pistols = 1975
buzzcocks = 1976
ramones started punk. furthermore, stuff like radio birdman and the stooges prior to ramones were pub rock. I'm not taking sides with the yanks or anything, its just the truth. also i don't see the pixies as having a punk sound or attitude, i would see them as having an alternative rock sound and attitude. they defined the genre man, and it's completely distinct from punk.

-the ramones didn't just "start" punk in 74, they were trying to emulate buzzcocks, sex pistols, whole british scene. pixies are so punk too man, they aren't like crust or anything but their sound and attitude is punk as it gets.

-are you crazy?the first album of sex pistols' was in '77, and the first of ramones was in the '76, pixies are not punk, they're in the indie movement, in the eighties
